Design new Windows domain hosted on HP DL 360/380 G8 servers via VM Ware ESXi 5.1. Create new Active Directory structure, group policies, print servers and distributive file systems. Design replication between sites along with new backup strategy. Provide new solution for antivirus protection and resolve issues related to Windows/Linux environment.
- Build out three HP DL 380 rack mount servers and one HP DL 360 rack mount server with VM Ware ESX 5.1
- Installed 3-4 operating systems per server (based on need and resources)

Work with CST Corp, Houston, TX to spec out requirements for HP 7000 series Blade server with VMware 4.1, VSphere, and Orchestrator. Designed chassis to support three full BL460c G1 blades, two BL460c half blades with 64 GB RAM each, connected to a 27 TB EVA Fiber Channel SAN, and along with a new HP tape backup system.

Design specifications for cabling/fiber layout for main and auxiliary buildings. Create specifications for intercom/clock system, wireless access, switched network, and Cisco phone system. Design VLAN schema for new structured network.

Spec out requirements for Audio/Video for auditorium. Work with vendor to install ceiling mounted projector, speakers, control board and microphone system. Completed project in 15 days for senior class graduation
4.2011 – 6.2011 Cable Installation - Admin Building - Tejano Center for Community Concerns
Work with cable installers to install 165 cable drops in administrative offices, cafeteria, auditorium, band hall, and library. Designate cable colors according to service provided (i.e. data, security cameras, projectors, and intercom system). Run additional fiber to new 3-story building to build in redundancy.
3.2011 – 4.2011 Server Room Relocation - Tejano Center for Community Concerns
Move all infrastructure servers to new server room. Move DEMARC to new server room. Set up new Cisco 3750 Catalyst POE switches in new server room. Work with electrician to provide appropriate electrical outlets for UPS’s. Work with cable contractors to install temporary fiber uplink to new facilities. Reroute all external temporary fiber to interior of building to provide connectivity throughout campus.
1.2011 – 1.2011 VLAN Design
Segregate network based on users and devices. Develop VLAN schema to support 10+ VLANs that separate security cameras, student users, accounting, voice, wireless (domain and guest), data, maintenance, etc. Begin implementation of VLANs on Cisco Catalyst 3750 POE switches.
1.2011 – 3.2011 Windows 7/Office 2010 training
Developed training materials for 200+ member staff for Office 2010. Trained users in the general use of all Office products including Outlook 2010.
