TITLE : DISABLE DOMAIN CREDENTIALS
PURPOSE/ SCOPE
To describe Disable Domain Credentials to deny access yourdomain.com resources accessible thru Active directory.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Department or site manager is responsible for requesting the account to be disabled
- IT Executive is responsible to Approve to be disabled.
- IT Service Engineer/ Data center team / IT help desk team is responsible to implement procedure.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT
- Desktop or Laptop
- Domain Controller/Active Directory server
FREQUENCY
- When requested.
PROCEDURES
- Submit request email to itsupport@yourcompany.com, which will create a ticket in the help desk management software
- IT Executive will review the ticket as to whether all necessary details are included, then assign to appropriate team member for account creation.
- Assigned IT team member will disable the login ID on the Active Directory server and move the user to the ‘Terminated Users/Month” OU
- Assigned IT team member will notate in the ticket what month OU the user was moved to and close the ticket, which will notify the IT Executive and initial requestor that the task has been completed and the user no longer has access.
